Dear AIWA Member, Donor, Supporter,
As we approach the festive Christmas season and take time to be with family and loved ones, I want to THANK YOU as a member of the AIWA family for your support, and participation in our journey to connect and elevate Armenian women worldwide. Despite the difficulties arising from the conflict in Artsakh, AIWA has forged ahead in programs and initiatives that provide women with the tools to help themselves and their communities.
From job training to skills building, scholarships to shelter assistance, and from emergency relief funds to providing humanitarian assistance, the women we serve remind me that the hope for the future is what our work is really all about. All our
endeavors share a common hope—a new start full of opportunity, economic
empowerment, and leadership within communities – which would not be possible without your encouragement and support.
Through your dedication, you have enabled us to:
- Provide winter heating for 50 displaced families from Artsakh
- Provide electricity to 51 single elderly displaced persons
- Assist 52 students with scholarships in higher education around the world
- Provide a safe haven for vulnerable and at-risk women in Armenia
- Create a more secure world for women with our support of the SafeYou App
With the advent of a new year, AIWA is focused on the great work ahead. Much remains to be done to assure Armenian women an equal role in society, one in which they can make full use of their talents and resources wherever they may reside across the globe.
