Bared Maronian is a four time Regional Emmy® Award winning documentary filmmaker and an Armin T. Wegner Humanitarian Laureate with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Haigazian University and a graduate of the Broadcast Career Institute of Palm Beach, Florida.
One of Maronian’s works, Orphans of the Genocide, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video has reached over 50.6 million households through NETA, Link TV, KCET and a number of PBS stations. The film is translated into several languages including French, Spanish, Portuguese, Armenian and Romanian. It has been officially selected by 10 international film festivals worldwide and has won prestigious awards. Orphans of the Genocide, was screened in a large number of universities, colleges, school systems, museums, libraries and communities in the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy Lebanon and Egypt.
Maronian’s Women of 1915 , available on Amazon Prime Video, delineates the plight and survival of Armenian women during the Genocide of 1915 and all those American and European women who came to their rescue. Bared Maronian’s latest project is Bloodless: The Path To Democracy , a multi-award winning documentary film chronicling Armenia’s 2018 peaceful revolution.
Maronian resides in Coconut Creek, Florida with his wife Lina and daughter Kaliana.
