I was raised as a highly independent and confident person. Since childhood, I have never been this nice obedient type of a girl and my parents were happily embracing how free and rebel I was. I have always been challenging the status quo, often by questioning what many people consider to be the “natural” order of things. With this strong belief, I would never compromise and would do anything to change things, rules, ideas around me that are not optimal, fair, ambitus, or are not aimed for making education, work, life, business or planet as better as it can get. So, I naturally ended up in startup world by happily taking super high risks, being agile in changing and pivoting, working with amazing people and reaching great results.

In short, my life philosophy is to always have the courage and confidence to fight for changes in business and in life for outstanding results. So, either I change the world around me for better or I invest in people who are able to do so.

Also, I strongly believe that success should make you humbler and more accessible. There is no value in your success, your knowledge, your network and your karma if you don’t enjoy sharing it.

Given our geolocation and as a nation that has been historically surviving for ages, I think the instinct of self-preservation of Armenians is so high and our collective subconsciousness is so strong, that we are kind of a nation- startup in a sense. We are agile, we aim for short-term success, every single citizen is a leader-politician-economist-etc., we pivot quickly, we trade well etc.

In a sense some of those are great characteristics, but at the same time I love to see long-term strategic goals set for the country assigned by a capable and strong new government. I would love to see a strong determination by every single citizen and member of diaspora in reaching those goals/ OKRs with every single action, innovation, advocacy we make.
