Lusine Mirzakhanyan
Name: Lusine Mirzakhanyan || Chief Revenue Expert, R2R (Record to Report) Center of Excellence Cloud Operations, SAP
Lusine is a technology leader at SAP and currently holds the position of Chief Revenue Expert at SAP. Her main focus is on SAP strategic projects that drive key transformations in Cloud Operations. Lusine had held several leadership roles in the areas of software revenue recognition and FP&A, and worked for top rated publicly traded SaaS companies. Her 20+ years career in Finance started right after getting the B.S. in Economics degree from Yerevan State University – as an entry-level Finance specialist position at the Ministry of Industry & Health of Armenia during turbulent post-Soviet transition period of mid 1990s. It then evolved into a lead consultant role at the Armenian Development Agency followed by a consultant role with UNDP sponsored budget & tax reform for the same government. Two years later, after getting an MBA degree from Scranton University, Pennsylvania, Kania School of Management, and having minored in Finance & IT Lusine found herself in Silicon Valley ready to explore the exciting world of IT start-ups. Hi-tech industry has been full of challenges and learning, shaping up the mindset and skill set of a professional that Lusine has become over the past 20 years. The most important life lessons though were taught by the “Yerevan’s dark years” – studying for college tests by the candle light and carrying buckets of water up 14 flights of stairs on daily basis. Surviving and most importantly succeeding under these circumstances – both academically and personally – put life into a different unique perspective that she carried on with her into the years to come.
Lusine was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia, and her family roots are from Tavush. Lusine is happily married to Dr. Mikayel Grigoryan, Neurointerventionalist at Adventist Health in Glendale, and is a mother to two twelve year old children (twins), son David and daughter Mariam. Outside of work Lusine is passionate about travelling with her family, architectural design and house renovation projects, jamming with her family (violin is the choice of instrument), various sports, fishing and cooking. Lusine is currently based in Los Angeles, California. She spends a good amount of time throughout the year in Armenia. Lusine is currently a board member of GOALS (Girls of Armenia Leadership Soccer) organization. GOALS works in the regions of Armenia to develop girls’ soccer leagues and promote sport for social impact clubs with the mission to support and empower youth to become leaders. Lusine is a strong believer in invaluable social impact that GOALS team makes today and undeniable role that the program will play in establishing the future of strong and progressive Armenian society.
Q: What is your life philosophy?
Never give up and don’t take a “no” for an answer. Keep an eye on the goal and be resilient, you will achieve your goals. Like my father used to say – “do an act of kindness and don’t expect anything in return”.
Q: What is your hope for the future?
That people all around the world will have more kindness and love towards each other. This may sound pathetic, but I think unconditional human kindness has by far the biggest impact onto where humanity is headed.
Q: How has the Armenian Culture shaped/influenced you?
The most important thing that our culture taught me is that my family defines me and takes priority over everything else in my life. I don’t know if many other cultures teach you exactly that. One of the most important factors of happiness then becomes the ability to find, (re)define and develop who you are as an individual, a professional and a woman, while maintaining the balance and synergy of simultaneously being a successful wife, mother, daughter, sister.

The heritage and history, the pride, the culture of unlimited hospitality and courage.
