What do an activist and feminist dedicated to the advancement of women in Armenia and a vice president of an American Tech company have in common? They both believe in enabling and engaging support for Armenia and Artsakh through a common bond.
Maro Matosian, founder of the Women’s Support Center in Yerevan and Lusine Yeghiazaryan, Vice-President of GoPro, Inc. in California and Board member of AIWA,will present and discuss the situation of the country currently under aggression since September 27 when Azerbaijan attacked the Nagorno Karabagh province and raged war with Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia.

Ms. Maro Matosian
Founder, Women’s Support Center Maro Matosian is an activist and feminist dedicated to the advancement of women in Armenia. In 2010 Maro founded the Women’s Support Center in Yerevan to assist and empower women and children victims of domestic violence as well as advocate for the defense of women’s rights in Armenia. The center offers comprehensive assistance with social workers, psychologists and lawyers as well as 2
shelters. The center is run based on international standards and methodology for victims of domestic violence. Maro underwent training in the United States and is one of the founding members of the Coalition to Stop Violence against Women. Maro has authored a number of publications and guidelines aimed at improving domestic violence service provision in Armenia and has presented at numerous conferences all around the world. She
was selected as expert in the field by Council of Europe to prepare a Police Guideline for working with cases of domestic violence. WSC has trained 12 regional DV support centers in the region and is working with the Ministry of Social Affairs on the National Action Plan for DV state activities for 2021-
2023. Previously Maro was country director for The Tufenkian Foundation, and Aznavour for Armenia Foundation.

Lusine Yeghiazaryan
Vice President of Finances, Go Pro, Inc.
Lusine Yeghiazaryan is the Vice President of Audit, Risk and Controls, serving as Chief Audit Executive
(CAE) at GoPro, Inc. and is an independent director on the Board of Directors of SADA Systems (Google
Cloud’s Global Partner of the Year 2018 and 2019). Prior to her current roles, Lusine spent over 10 years with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in financial and operational advisory roles to high growth, transformational companies.
Lusine’s expertise across multiple industries includes Board and Audit Committee governance, corporate transformation, organizational design, due diligence, IPO readiness, optimization of cross functional processes and controls, operational risk management, financial strategy, resource planning and professional services. She earned an MBA (in Finance and Strategy) from Berkeley Haas School of Business and is currently an advisor at Berkeley SkyDeck Startup Accelerator, with specific focus on the needs and opportunities of startups originating from Armenia and broader Eastern European region. Lusine is a member of the Board of Directors of the Armenian International Women’s Association (AIWA) and remains a dedicated member of the AIWA San Francisco Affiliate where she served on executive committee for a number of years.
