Connect, Inspire, Nurture, Empower, Generate

AIWA 2020 Connect is designed to bring together a group of Armenian women from all parts of the world and all walks of life to begin the building of a new network through interactions and conversations that encourage openness, inclusiveness, and appreciation of different perspectives. It is also designed to utilize that strengthened network to discuss and make recommendations about the six strategic areas that are the immediate focus of AIWA.

  • Discussions will take place in an open, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere, where participants will be able to connect with each other, inspire, nurture and empower each other, and generate ideas for addressing these challenge areas through future opportunities, programs, and initiatives;
  • This process is designed to empower individual participants as well as help them thrive as conduits of change and improvement in their communities;
  • Participants will be divided into groups to discuss AIWA’s strategic focus areas and make recommendations
  • This interesting and exhilarating event will happen in a resort setting with a relaxed and fun atmosphere, replete with cultural activities, celebrations, delicious food, nature walks, a walk to Getcharis Vank, yoga, a visit to the Megerian Cultural Complex (which will include lavash/dolma making, carpet-weaving, Armenian wines and cuisine demonstrations by Master Chef Sedrak Mamulyan), and much more.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of 2020 Connect. We look forward to your joining us in Tsaghkadzor in June!

Why Tsaghkadzor?
AIWA is excited to create an experience for Armenian women to connect and inspire each other to work together toward positive change. Creating this experience in a calmer area outside the hustle and bustle of Yerevan is an important part of the process – free from distractions and in a peaceful setting within Armenia’s breathtaking landscape.

No other guests will inhabit the Marriott Tsaghkadzor during 2020 Connect other than the participants. Those who attend 2020 Connect will have access to all Marriott amenities during the conference including gym, spa, indoor pool, and tea/lounge areas.

Where is Tsaghkadzor?
Tsaghadzor is a ski resort area roughly 40 kilometeres outside Yerevan. During the Soviet era, Tsaghadzor was the Olympic training ground for winter competitors then and has undergone significant renovation since early 2000s. Today, Tsaghkadzor boasts four ski-lifts and continues to grow as a destination for visitors all year round.
