New England

The New England Affiliate of the Armenian International Women’s Association has been extremely busy working to meet the various goals and initiatives of the New England Affiliate.  Through our various efforts, everything we have done and continue to do is grounded in the mission of AIWA.  This includes both past events, such as  fundraising, retreat participation, hosting social gatherings and being annual meeting panelists, as well as ongoing projects, such as a panel series on topics affecting Armenian women and outreach to new communities like colleges and universities.  Most recently, some of us traveled to Armenia to do follow-up work on our projects on the ground there.

On a much broader note, we continue to bring awareness to our organization and are extremely delighted by all that AIWA has accomplished.  In planning for our future, we are constantly exploring strategies that would recruit new members and retain the current membership, as well as increase member involvement.

We take great pride in the fact that AIWA is like no other organization in our community – we are a national network without alignment to any political or religious group.  This unique feature, for which we are well recognized, is what attracts many to us who wish to be part of a group that supports and features women playing important roles in their communities.  We are a well-connected organization and continue to reach out to others around the world who want to work with us in achieving our goals.

As we in the New England Affiliate continue to grow our membership base with each passing year, and throughout each generation, we remain committed to our community, our organization and our AIWA sisters worldwide.
